Own DevStudio (ODS) is a minimal, AI-native IDE designed for speed, privacy, and local-first development.
This page gives an overview of the core features available in the alpha stage.

    Highlight code and apply AI-powered edits with safe insert & undo.

  • AI Assistant Panel
    Context-aware chat for Q&A, explanations, and refactoring suggestions.

  • AI Studio (early)
    Workflow space for experimenting with prompts and chaining AI tasks.

  • Local-first AI
    Works with models from Ollama and other local endpoints.
    Private by default — no forced cloud dependency.

  • AGPL-3 License — ensures transparency and open development.
  • Opt-in telemetry (future) — privacy-first metrics planned, disabled by default.

🌱 Extensibility (Future)

  • Plugins/Extensions are not yet available during alpha.
  • Future plans: small, secure extension API for commands, keybindings, and integrations.
  • Community RFCs will shape this roadmap.
