Community
Own DevStudio (ODS) is just starting out — the community is still forming. I am excited to welcome early adopters, contributors, and curious tinkerers who want to shape the project from the ground up. Whether you’d like to file a bug, improve docs, build extensions, or simply follow along, you’re invited to be part of the journey.

Ways to participate
- Try ODS and tell us what’s confusing or delightful.
- Report bugs with clear steps to reproduce.
- Write docs & tutorials to help others.
- Build the ecosystem: themes, snippets, templates, workflows, and integrations.
- Advocate: share your setups, record short demos, or write posts.
Community values
- Local-first. Your code and models stay with you.
- Pragmatic. Small, useful releases over big, perfect ones.
- Respectful. Assume positive intent. Be kind.
- Transparent. Design in the open. Discuss trade-offs openly.
Decision-making
- Discussion → RFC → Implementation. Larger changes start with an RFC in the repo, discussed in public threads.
- Maintainership. Active contributors who demonstrate judgment and care can become maintainers through consensus.
Release cadence (alpha)
- Frequent patch releases; minor features as they’re ready. See Release Notes for details.
Where to talk
- Issues: Bug reports and focused feature requests.
- Discussions/Forum: General Q&A, ideas, showcases.
